Advent Lament for Asylum Seekers

As part of the Catholic Religious Australia Justice Network, the Society of the Sacred Heart is supporting a National Lament Week of Prayer & Prophetic Witness during the first week of Advent – 30 November to 6 December.  This week of prayer is an opportunity to be in prayerful solidarity with the people seeking asylum in Australia and with the people being detained in Australia and off-shore, many the victims of harsh and punitive policies. During this week, there will be small groups outside the immigration detention centres across Australia, simply being a prayerful presence.  Contact CRA Justice Network Coordinator Sr Suzette Clark justice@catholicreligiousaustralia.org.au if you wish to take part in this
